Time flies! It has been a year since our last AGM on 12/11/2023. And it's that time again to have another one!

We encourage all our members and friends to come join us for the Annual General Meeting 2023-24! 

The AGM will be hold from 15:15 - 15:45 on 13/10/2024 at Sydney Boy's High School followed by our weekly Social Sunday.

The short answer is - Freezone Volleyball Club isn't just for the committe - it is your club too! Of course you should come and be part of the most important club meeting. 

The long answer is - Freezone Volleyball Club is more than just volleyball. Much more than that. As a committee, we are only a small part of it. It's the community, the LGBTQIA+ community in particular, that we are serving.

To do that, we need all the support, all the talent we can get. Without your support, there is only so much we can achieve. By simply showing up, you're showing not only your interest in the club's future, but also your support for the committee. The most essential fuel to keep the club going.

• There will be reports to reflect on Freezone Volleyball Club operations and finances in 2023 - 2024. 
• A new committee will be elected. Including 4 committee executives and up to 5 committee members.

• Can I raise any particular topic related to the club? 
  • Yes you can! Any topic that you think might be suitable for the occasion, you can send it to Andrew by 6/10/2024. We will get back to you as soon as we can! 
• Can I nominate someone or myself to become part of the committee? 
  • Yes you can! Simply fill out this Link to Committee Nomination Form.

General

• This is a social event, we accommodate players from all diffferent levels. Be respectful to all our fellow volleyballers, on court and off court.
• We are aiming at 6 players in each team and 7 teams in total.
• All players will have to register for this event separately, no group/team registration is possible.
• New Players/beginners to volleyball are encouraged to register for the skills training session (subject to player number and coach availibility).
• Resources to improve your game and skills.

Cost and Payment

• $10 for Freezone members, $15 for non-members and FREE for first timer!
• All invoices are scheduled to be sent to players by text message on the same day as the social play.
• NO PAY, NO PLAY policy: We no longer take cash payment, please pay online by card prior to attending our volleyball sessions, or tap with your card/phone upon arrival. You may be denied to take the court if you fail to do so.
• Note that you can save the card detail for your future sessions, so you don't have to worry about any outstanding payment.

RSVP Update

• It is important that you update your RSVP if you become unavailable to attend the session as soon as possible, so the spot can be available again for other players. Click here to log in to your account and go to 'Events > my events' to update your RSVP.
• If you didn't login when you registered the event or you are not currently a member, you will not be able to do this online by yourself. Please still inform us by any of the following options:

  3. Reply to the confirmation email.
  4. Contact us on Facebook or Instagram.
• Fail to update your RSVP (No-show) may:
  1. Affect other players' right to participate the event;
  2. Affect your future registration;
  3. Need to pay off your outstanding invoice;
  4. Not be able to claim a refund.
• We kindly sugget you to give us a heads up if you will be arriving late on the day so we know you are still coming and can organize the team.

Social Sunday format (subject to change)

• 15:00 to 15:30 AGM
• 15:30 to 16:00 Nets setup & warm up (peppering, spiking, serving, as well as beinnger skills training at court 3).
• 16:00 to 16:05 Welcome, Administration & Team orginazation.
• 16:05 to 18:00 Social games on all courts.  
• 18:00 Nets down
